Emerging Markets

McKinsey Quarterly has another great article, this one on ten key points that a company must succeed in to take advantage of emerging markets. This is something to look into because these markets will reach $30 trillion in annual consumption by 2025 (source link).

Here are those ten points (I recommend reading the full article):

  1. Surgically target urban growth clusters.
  2. Anticipate moments of explosive growth.
  3. Devise segmentation strategies for local relevance and global scale.
  4. Radically redeploy resources for the long term.
  5. Innovate to deliver value across the price spectrum.
  6. Build brands that resonate and inspire trust.
  7. Control the route to market.
  8. Organize today for the markets of tomorrow.
  9. Turbocharge the drive for emerging-market talent.
  10. Lock in the support of key stakeholders.

The authors have expanded on each point in detail, helping companies approach emerging markets and succeed. esyringe has not entered those markets… yet.

Life at esyringe is about the inner workings of a small business based in Washington State. Get a good laugh or some introspection at lifeatesyringe.wordpress.com The company sells syringes online, hence 'esyringe'. No, not syringes you would put in a vein, but syringes that go into larger machines for analyzing blood and chemical compounds.
