We celebrated Independence Day as a family in Birch Bay, WA with our friends from the north (Canada). We loved watching the neighbors get too excited to wait for dark shooting off fireworks at 6pm. And our own mishaps (which stayed safe) gave us plenty of entertainment.
Apparently a bottle rocket was shoved too deeply in the dirt to take off so it exploded in place and had the boys/men running for cover. They certainly enjoyed their time as children again.
The moon turned a fantastic color that night.
Now it’s been a couple weeks and it seems like those leftover fireworks are still giving the boys and girls something to cheer about. I hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July!
