You may have noticed my infrequent blog posts and random Europe picture slideshows that I’ve tossed in the blog. I was traveling around Europe while studying in France for my MBA for the past six months. I finished my degree in early June and traveled around for a couple weeks. But I’m back! The family is finally whole again in the Pacific Northwest.
I got back from France on Friday, June 29th and took a week off before starting at esyringe again. It was a good time to relax with family, hang out with friends, and recover from a 34 hour plane/layover/driving voyage back from Bordeaux, France.
I’ve had a lot of fun being with my family (in person!) again. And now it’s time to slip back into the work routine with them. But there are some changes since I was last here. My sister is going back to college (yay!) so my mom is babysitting my niece during the day while my brother-in-law sleeps to be ready for his graveyard shift. That means our President/Accountant is working from home while my dad, the Vice President/Everything-That-Needs-to-Get-Done-He-Does-Guy, and I try to get along in the office.
It hasn’t been too bad, as long as we avoid politics! But that goes for any workplace.
My desk is pretty much the same as I left it. But a bicycle has made its home in the back of my cubicle and I lost my rug (which I use to protect syringes from falls to hard cement — as expensive as they are and as cautious as I try to be, I still manage to fumble them occasionally).
So here we go with a dramatically changed schedule and new tasks. In the next month, there will be big changes to the website’s inventory at esyringe.com. It will be my job to get all the pictures and info up on the site for a ton of new equipment. Yippee! And, surprisingly, I don’t mean that sarcastically. I am really excited about adding more to the site.
